Hi, Can anyone recommend an internet vendor for brakes discs in the UK? I need to replace those on my Viking Maelstrom. I'm not even sure what type they are - guess they are easy to remove to look. Thanks, Rob.

Do you want new brakes, or new pads for your bike's existing brakes? I googled your bike, and found it has Quad brakes, which should use horse-shoe shaped pads. I the cheapest place I found to buy Quad pads was eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290048972633 If you want to replace the calipers and rotors themselves, look at Avid mechanicals (e.g. BB7 from ebay- a pair including levers sold for £56 recently). Or if you have more money to spend, look at hydraulics of any of the big brands (Shimano, Avid, Hope, Hayes)- these will need new levers, and the frame may or may not have the mounts for the hoses. I believe it is a make- never heard of them before though. Check that your current pads look the same shape before ordering- though I didn't find any other types of Quad pads in my searches. Ben
