Subject: FSA vs. SHIMANO Crankset
Hello,
I have been using Shimano cranks for a long time and now would like
to try FSA cranks. My question is what FSA cranks equal the Shimano
Dura-ace and Ultegra cranks in rank?
Cheers,

After replacing 2 FSA bearing sets the other day..in cranks that
weren't that old I would say any shimano crank is a better idea than
any FSA..including pretty soft chainrings..As time goes on and we see
more early FSA, not impressed. Their fix for left cranks coming off
were some sort of yellow industrial loctite, rather than a better
design. Like hubs, hard to beat shimano and Campagnolo.

There's quite a difference between the DA and Ult cranks. The SLK
Carbon slots you in nicely between the two (although FSA chainrings
are definitely less durable than either DA/Ult). And since the
original SLK is going obsolete, they can be had for a decent price,
i.e., cheaper than Ultegra either on-line or ebay.

IMO, FSA cranks, BBs and chainrings are pretty rank. Try something
else.
