Subject: How to disassemble RST fork?
|
I have a CT-COM1 RST fork with rotted dust boots (wipers, seals whatever you call them). I called RST and they quickly sent me a new pair of boots NC but they can't (or won't) supply any kind of exploded view or instructions on how to disassemble the fork. Unscrewing the preload knob assembly lets me lift out the springs and assorted spacers and pistons but looking down the hole all I see is a solid rod end with no bolt head or screwdriver slot. How do these things come apart?
