Very interesting design to see. I was wondering if anyone has ridden
on this fork, how would you like to compare it to conventional
straight and curved bladed forks?

It's definitely wigglier.

I have ridden Pinarello bikes with the Onda fork. The bikes were very
nice, but it is impossible to say how much the Onda fork had to do
with it. My road bike is a 2005 Pinarello without the Onda fork and I
think it rides nice too, so who knows.

One thing I don't like about the later Pinarello's like mine is that
they use non-"standard" headset bearings. They use some cartridge
bearings that can be bought at a machine supply place for cheap, but I
don't think bearings like that are meant to have such high side loads.
Mine have worn out pretty fast which is irritating.

I hear it's stiff yet compliant.

this is r.b.t. pinarello use carbon forks. carbon forks are evil.
death to carbon forks. because as /any/ fool knows, carbon forks
shatter like glass because they're "brittle", not tough, or strong or
fatigue resistant. we know this because we have "engineers" like peter
cole and aerospace composites specialists like jambo who share their
extensive knowledge, expertise and experience, freely and so /so/
generously. and /reliably/.

death to carbon forks.

Nah, you just have to massage them with squeezes, listen to them when they
talk to you, or when they start singing. Because CF forks do that before
they break. CF forks just need sympathetic ears and a shoulder to cry on,
that's all. On the other hand, if you'd rather let an expert do the job,
try www.CarbonFiberWhisperers.com, and ask for "jim".

you figured out what elasticity is yet? moron.
you figured out what density is yet? moron.
you figured out what modulus is yet? moron.
you figured out what a progressive failure mode is yet? moron.

no? that's because you're a complete fucking moron!

Yes, I see it all now.

"jim beam", r.b.t's legendary

- CF Fork Whisperer
- "Mettaleuregits" who attended "muterials skool" more than 30 years ago
- CIA Black Ops operative in Vietnam
- Privvy to CLASSIFIED military information on composites way before they
existed (Was it Bell? Was it "sikorski"? It's all CLASSIFIED)

Don't hassle this guy anymore about his sources of info on anything and
everything - they're CLASSIFIED.

Okay?

Your head's density? Ok, I'll add it to the list of beamboy legendary
traits, thanks.

says the moron that doesn't understand "mettalurgy", and can't read a
company's website history, and has problems with high school science
experiments. i mean, density is something which jambo is all about -

You mean your dying grasp of trying to salvage your "metarials skool"
lecture story more than 30 years ago, the one that was "black ops
classified" i.e. no-one-can-disprove-it-now story?

Sure. Why don't you just carry out the really simple experiment of the
gasoline and the lit match? It'll blow your little mind, I assure you.

Yawn.
