In about a month or eight weeks I'm going to be getting a new wheelset built. I'm planning to go with green Chris King hubs and I'm wondering if anyone knows are there any quality manufacturers out there that do colored spokes (like green) and also soliciting rim suggestions. It will be for a titanium race bike with mostly Ultegra. -M

Primo makes spokes in yellow, blue, black, red and white. you could try alternating yellow and blue. that could be really cool. your bike coordinates itself as you go faster.

Actually they'll mostly manage to not care about my color scheme since the hubs are going to cost more than most of them can even imagine spending on multiple complete bikes. The cyclists, however, they're mostly going too be drooling about my having a custom frame. And in context of the frame they're really not giving especially much of a damn about my purchasing something that, gosh, at least four or five people in the province already have. It isn't that I'm specifically trying to one up people on the flash bling scale but I have a slightly wider range of shopping resources than anyone short of the bike shop manager, the Shimano rep, or the coach and, of the three, I think the bike shop manager is the only one who actually has to pay money for his bling. Wang Yi's mom and dad might be willing to drop 46,000rmb on a T-mobile team replica bike but _I_ had the first pair of eggbeater pedals (nashbar special) and the first Cannondale (secondhand). -M

I struggled a long time deciding on nipple color to go with black hub and rim, finally going all black, and lacking proper contrast. rim/spoke/nipple colors with pewter hubs is esp hard, and all silver with the blue hubs just doesn't look right, but that one goes on the singletrack where no one sees it, thankfully. red firetrucks do not make sense do they? red is relatively invisible. I was babbling before about going to the daytonah 24 du where I was first overall grandstand. there's a green/chartruese sports racer, also showed at Watkins. The green paint job was first overall deep twilight visibilty under the lights while the yellows were best sunsetting no stadium light effect with orange a distant turd during twilight. here, i have on occasion, leaned the bike and walked out into the four lane to hold or halt or direct traffic for ambulance/rescue/fire. as the old folk are mostly pertified of the ahhhooogah rack rack rack ahoooogah and freeze solid having enough to do getting into the merc and starting it wihtou slaloming thru an intersection to yield. possible the rational for continuing with red as green ??? whazzit ??? manatee is bedroom tampa. very nice. very stuffy on the prole level. you would be welcomed back fersure. the sunlight is always equisitly bright when i go thru there. bleached. very 5-0.

ahhhhhh I feel sick no chartruese grooooawwppp uch uch take the rims over to ura paint shop or try it yourself. surface prep is wiping with clean cloth, wiping with new clean cloth, 5-6 times. outside off course, upwind, wearing gloves. thinner then CHO then acetone. taking care not to smear old grease on cleaned surfaces by removing all grease first. (hubs) try dayglo poster paper strips tapped to ura spokes. very flashy. uhuhuhuharrrrrchhh
