I'm looking at the Spinergy Xaero Lite Wheelset and very curious about their PBO fiber Spokes http://www.spinergy.com/Bicycle/xaeroLite.html Of course the manufacturer will claim their product is the best but as we all know, the best test products is on the road in the real world. They claim two of their spokes can hold the weight of an average car but don't know if that creates advantages on a bike. So I'd appreciate comments from riders who have used them.

Very light, very comfortable. I have replace a couple of spokes in a few years. The feel very dfferent from the higher end Mavic Ksyrium line. Reportedly they are as stiff, but do not ride harshly like the Mavics. And they look so cool. Nonetheless, I will be selling a pair with black spokes for Shimano, since I am scaling back my riding and returning to an old pair of Mavic Cosmos (heavier, nice looking, standard spokes for maintenance, bomb-proof, better for light touring). Contact me if interested in the Xaero Lites for purchase.

You want small wheels with lots of spokes, so the gaps are too narrow for suicide squirrels to fit into. -- Tom Sherman - Holstein-Friesland Bovinia The weather is here, wish you were beautiful

I am not very elastic and I am fat. Is that good or bad ;-)

After a few interactions with their customer service I decided to never purchase anything made by Spinergy again. It took over five weeks to get replacement spokes. I emailed and phone them numerous times and just received a complete runaround. Not a fun experience.

It is not a math or engineering class. You should worry about how they feel when you ride on them compared to regular wheels and if they will last. Who cares is someone tells me that they are a number one, or a number 5 in elasticity and they are a number 800 or a number 15000 in wind resistance. Andres
